I'm not bothered at all by adjusting URLs to my liking (I tend to prefer to display it in whichever layout the user chose) but I'll say that I find lj's light format fairly unreadable because it stretches all over the screen. Though I can't say whether it's better on phones because lj is so unfit for mobile display that I never really go there, so that may well be.
