You would add the links directly to the post draft in the correct format, including the title, a pull-quote or summary, appropriate tags, and the writer's username. Whereas now, I'm assuming you usually just find the link and leave the formatting to someone else. You would also have to respond to the weekly rollcall to say that you've finished linkfinding for the week, and there would be an expectation of thoroughness-- that you would look through everything posted on Site X that week and decide if it was meta.
