Date: 2014-08-20 09:17 pm (UTC)It looks like your submission got missed somehow, I can't see any reason it wouldn't have been included, so I think it was just a mistake on our part. I'm really sorry. I've marked the email unread in the inbox, so it should be included next week!

Date: 2014-10-22 11:55 am (UTC)In general, it's a case of volume and type. We don't link to a great deal of anime/manga/etc meta, mostly because the sites we check for meta don't post a lot of meta about those topics - or we've never found it on tumblr as it's a pretty safe bet that that doesn't apply to tumblr. So it is easier to group lesser seen meta under an umbrella term. It may seem unfair, but we are simply more familiar overall with Western fandoms and are more likely to tag those individually. We do do periodic tag clearing and have deleted or changed some single use tags because they were only used once and don't seem likely to be used again.
So what we need are more links to Eastern fandom meta. We'll be doing a call for that soon. If tumblrs or sites are suggested, we'll add them to the appropriate reading lists, so they will be checked. We do rely on volunteers, dropped links or things turning up on the reading list for all fandoms.
Hopefully this will address your concerns, but please feel free to let us know if anything hasn't been covered.
Lord of the Rings: Henneth Annun Closing
Date: 2014-11-13 05:53 am (UTC)I don't know if this is exactly what you're looking for - it's a few weeks old - but it involves significant meta issues (maintaining archives and servers, technical challenges of fandom, how to handle fic when authors or archives go away, AO3 consolidaton), and it's an important piece of news for LotR fandom.
